Message from Rev Timothy Bell
Our vision is to grow in our love for God, and each other andto have a love that reaches out to our villages seeking to buildcommunities of wholeness with Christ at the centre.
We endeavour to have services with a relevant message for you that are welcoming to all; young and old, families withchildren, couples and singles. With this in mind we have a selection of services through the month that are traditional or informal, from Choral Evensong to an informal 4pm Four 4 All. The most popular service in the benefice is Café Church at Doynton. Most traditional services are Common Worship except for St Peter’s which has BCP services. Do check the Church Calendar for what would suit you and we will give you a warm welcome at which ever service you come to.
We believe prayer and home Bible study groups are vital to the life of the church. We have Morning Prayer on different days in each church across the benefice and a number of prayer groups in the month and there is a home Bible study group in Wick and Doynton to which all are welcome.
Reaching out into the community we have a very active link with the C of E Primary School next door to St Bartholomew’s. The school comes into church once a term. We have a popular Toddler group and weekly coffee morningcalled Open Door both held in the Church Room at Wick. We also have links with the Pre School in Wick and in Doynton we have strong links with the community and have a monthly community meal held in the church.
We seek to serve welcoming you into the church and reaching out into each parish. If you are interested and want to know more information please make contact with us.
With best wishes
Rev Tim Bell
